Below we’ll walk you through, step by step, how to use the free to use Teamfi liftathon software from start to finish. ‍

Step 1: Create Your Teamfi Account & Setup Your Liftathon‍

Getting started should only take a few minutes. One quick “Create account” form, and then answering a few brief setup questions to create your very first Teamfi Liftathon.

‍Step 2: Invite Your Players to join Your Team’s Liftathon

Once you’ve created your liftathon, Teamfi creates a specific sign-up link just for you. You can copy and paste this link into your team’s communication channel, and it will allow all of your athletes a seamless joining process.

After signing-up, your players will be prompted to enter a profile photo for their donation page, as well as their projected pounds (lbs.) lifted for the liftathon. This projection will be used to collect pledges for them in the next step.

Additionally, after adding their profile photo and projected liftathon weight, each of your players will be prompted to add the contacts of those that they think will want to support them.

‍Step 3: Monitor your team’s onboarding progress

While your players are joining and adding their contacts, you will have 100% transparency to the entire process via the Teamfi Coach Dashboard. Here, you will see your entire team and the number of contacts they’ve added.

Moreover, in the “How Ready Are You to Activate” area of the Teamfi Coach Dashboard, you’ll see a live projection of what we predict you’d raise if you press “Activate” at any given moment. You can use this to determine when to activate your fundraiser to start collecting pledges and donations. ‍

Step 4: Activate Your Liftathon

You’ve made it this far, and now you’re ready to go! All you need to do is click the “Activate” button, and Teamfi will take care of the rest. Teamfi’s automatic text outreach will contact each of your players’ contacts with your team's customized donation page which will allow donors to pledge or donate a flat amount.

‍Step 5: The Day of the Liftathon

When the day comes for your team’s liftathon testing, all you’ll need to do is update your player table with the actual liftathon results for each player. As you enter the liftathon “actuals” (as we call them), an automated Teamfi outreach will be sent to each of those players contacts who’ve pledged to them with a customized donation link for them to follow-through on their pledge.

‍Step 6: Teamfi Sends you a check for your team’s fundraiser

Voila! That’s it! Once you close your fundraiser, we’ll overnight a check for your team’s total raise straight to your door. Teamfi takes no cut of your fundraiser (0.0% platform fees), so the check you receive will be your team’s total raise minus payment processing fees charged by our 3rd party payment processor Stripe.

These fees, charged by Stripe, are 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, which generally averages out to about 3.4%. That means your take home amount (the check that Teamfi sends to you) will be ≈96.6%.
